Family business structure, intensive service
The knowledge and experience of the family business has grown enormously over more than two centuries, but we have intentionally retained our family structure. That means close follow-up, personal contact, short lines of communication and 100% dedication. As a result, we are able to offer optimal service, quality and flexibility at a fair price.
A potted history
In 1986 Jozef and Greet Hanssens-Mehuys acquired the nursery, which had always belonged to the Schepers family. The fascinating history of the family business begins around 1805. A deserter from Napoleon’s army from the Campine region, started cultivating plants for local landowners in the woody surroundings of Bulskampveld. The business long focused almost exclusively on wild shrubbery (particularly conifers), but since the 1970s broadleaved trees, hedge and landscape plants and cuttings have become increasingly important. The nursery has been exporting to various European countries since the beginning of the 20th century.
Schepers now offers a comprehensive range of wild, hedge and landscape plants. We cultivate more than 150 species of plant, complemented by plants from a network of growers. That means we have no problem supplying all your plant needs.
On our 40 ha site, we cultivate more than 150 different species of plant in the very best conditions.
