Schepers is located in open country just outside Wingene in West Flanders. A beautiful rural setting where we cultivate and sell more than 150 plant species with love, a passion for nature and an eye for quality. Due to our diverse range of soils and cultivation techniques, we are able to offer plants for every purpose.
MPS A+ certified
Our sustainable cultivation efforts have been recognised with MPS A+ certification issued by an international certification body. That means we use weed control, energy, water and fertiliser economically and very deliberately.
We sow tagetes, Sudan grass and black oats as green fertilisers and use biological soil disinfection rather than chemical soil disinfection.
We also use mechanical alternatives to control weeds. Mechanical weeders, weed brushes and weed draggers have largely replaced herbicides. To protect our plants from disease and parasites, we use natural and environmentally friendly agents wherever possible. We also use natural enemies to attack harmful organisms.
Our secret? Specially adapted, sustainable cultivation and advanced digging, sorting, storage and transport techniques.
A growing tree nursery
We do our utmost to offer you the most comprehensive and up-to-date range we can. With that in mind, we constantly tweak our cultivation techniques, such as plant spacing and planting methods. We constantly look for species that are better able to withstand changing natural conditions. That enables us to respond to new trends and market developments, but also your personal needs and wants.
